It was rather misty and the sunlight was fading on the horizon.  I felt the wind in my face as if trying to ease the tension I felt in the pit of my stomach. I tried not to look at the water that was slowly beginning to fill the boat up and tried to ignore the occasional shark fin that popped in and out of the corner of my eye.  The smell of sea salt was beginning to make me feel sick when mixed with the unease I felt.

"Look, Xander! I'm like the lady in Titanic!", I heard Claudia giggle towards the front of the boat.  I looked over to see Xander holding Claudia by her waist and Sgt. Morrison at the helm smiling at the two of them.

"Xander's a pretty good brother, isn't he?" Mary said standing beside me.  I nodded trying to keep my food in my stomach.

"Do you think we'll find him?" I finally said after the nausea subdued slightly.

"I don't know... If the special ops teams didn't find him there, then I doubt he'd be there now.."

"What if he's...", I couldn't finish my sentence. I only looked at Mary, hoping my expression would tell her what I was thinking.

Her face looked grave.  "I don't know... I mean the special ops people would've found his body by then if that was the case.." she said thoughtfully.

Body

I fought off the shudder that threatened to escape my already chilled frame.  The thought of Zombie Steel came to my mind again before I tried to brush it off.

I looked out into the distance.  Through the mist, we started seeing land.

Doctor Steel sat with his head in his hands on a cot within a dimly light room.  The paint was peeling from the walls revealing rusted metal that matched the iron bars that kept him like a caged bird.  A shadow loomed across the dingy floor of his cell.

"Time for food, prisoner" the voice leered.

He stood up and walked over to the horizontal slit in the bars.  The warden passed a trey of cold, grey mush through the bars.

"You know... This place would do a lot better with cookies and juice... And recess...", he looked down at his barely edible grey matter disapprovingly.  The guard merely grunted.  They had gotten used to his mouth by now.  When he first entered the prison though... Well the scars up and down his back and torso were enough to tell that they weren't pleased with his attitude.  He looked up at the guard who gave him his mush. His eyes were glowing yellow with black slits for pupils, his teeth were no less sharp than blades as with his claws at the end of bony fingers.  His face seemed as though a human and a kimoto dragon had a child.  What would've been hair on his head were spikes.  He moved with stealth and was able to sneak up on anyone who tried to escape.  Fortunately Doctor Steel never tried to escape prison yet.  He merely traveled around the Prison during his break hours.  No one said he couldn't.  He's been going to the same room since he found it and within the walls and doors he built something that would eventually save his life.
I'm sorry about how short these are but It's really late and I can't think too well when it's late. I hope you enjoy what you're reading so far!
